unable to edit photo galleries

  I have had this problem before. I cannot find the icon that allows me to edit photo galleries. Where is this icon hidden?

  Hi there,

  To edit a photo gallery, you’ll need to click on the gallery in the post editor and then click the pencil icon that appears in the upper left of the gallery: https://cloudup.com/crLW53gPUKw

  i must not have described the problem correctly as i don’t have a pencil icon. i have published a page that has photos on it that i’m calling a photo gallery. i’d like to add more photos to this already published page to maintain it as an ongoing gallery. i’ve been able to edit it once before but can’t remember how i did it.

  is there anyone at wordpress who can direct me to the pencil icon for editing galleries? i set my gallery up on a page. i am attempting to “edit” the page but cannot find a pencil icon to edit the photo gallery. any guidance will be appreciated greatly.
