Unable to edit website

  I own a website, it was build in wordpress and I used to have a login and password to edit it. Neither work now. I have tried to change the password but is says my email address is not registered. I haven’t edited the site for a couple of year. I still pay yearly to host the site with the company that built it. Should that include my wordpress access?
