Unable to edit website

I know nothing at all about IT and would welcome some advice. I’m a trustee of a small charity and we set up a very basic WordPress website a few years ago. It has been fine, but in the past few weeks, when I try to edit or do anything at all to the site, it defaults to a blank screen with the WordPress ‘W’ logo. I can’t contact WordPress to ask what’s going on because I get the same blank page if I click on any contact or chat buttons! I can log in – I get the WordPress login page and can put in our username and password and get as far as seeing the website, showing me as logged in and showing edit buttons, etc. It’s just if I actually press the edit button that it defaults to the blank screen. I have tried ‘clearing cookies’, but that hasn’t helped. It’s driving me crazy, so if any kind person reading this has any suggestions, I’d be so grateful! I’m probably doing something really stupid…

I can see the site fine. If I was you I’d try to access the site via a completely different browser as there may be something (like adblocker software?) upsetting the browser you are currently using.
