Unable to enable two-step authentication

  Hello. Today for the first time I found on one of my pages the instructions for enabling two-step authentication by Google or SMS through my mobile or smartphone. I have no form of cell phone, mobile phone, or smartphone of any kind. Can I still keep my WordPress.com account with my current password only? I hope so, because I don’t plan to have a mobile phone at any time in the near future, and I live for my WordPress.com account. Thank you.

  Hi,

  Yes, you can continue to keep your WordPress.com account. Having a second authentication form (e.g. a code provided by a cell phone) can make your account more secure, but it is not a requirement of using WordPress.com.
