Unable to enter text/graphics in new post

For the last two days I have had difficulty inputting text and graphics in the dashboard’s EDIT POST text box for the main body of an individual post. I was able to enter text for the TITLE of the post, but when I tried to type in the main-body text box, I couldn’t see the typed-in text or even the cursor. I logged into a WP discussion started by other users with similar problems. The WP moderator did a lot of back-and-forth with us, eventually declaring the problem solved at the WP end. However, as of this morning, I am still unable to see typed-in text or uploaded graphic content in the text box. Later on, I found that if I highlight the text box by click-dragging over it with the cursor, I can at least see the HTML version (all in white text!) of the recently-entered content. This is in the VISUAL-mode view of the text box. I was able to compose my blog entry using my Mac’s TextEdit app in RTF (using that app’s formatting), then cut-and-pasted it into the dashboard’s text box, where I could see it if I high-lighted the text as stated above. I eventually was able to publish a poorly-formatted version of the blog post, but was NOT able to include WP’s formatting, my tags, or the graphic elements I’ve used in the past for this post. I wasn’t even able to enter HTML formatting tags.
Just for the record, this still happens when my browser cache and history are completely cleared out. I’m using Firefox as the browser. My cookies file directory is clear, too.
I need this blog to work reliably, as it is one of my key business marketing tools. Can you fix this at your end, or at least tell me how to solve the problem if it’s my fault?

Are you currently using AdBlock?
If so, would you please report that AdBlock is interfering with our website https://adblockplus.org/en/getting_started and try to whitelist us https://adblockplus.org/en/faq_basics#disable ?
If whitelisting us or disabling Adblock did not work for you, please try enabling HTTPS to see if that makes a difference: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

If you were affected by the AdBlock issue, this should be fixed now, so please feel free to try again after clearing your browser’s cache.
If you disabled Adblock to get around this, you should be able to safely re-enable it now.
Even if you weren’t using AdBlock, this fix may have resolved your problems, so please try again after clearing your browser’s cache too.

macmanx rocks!!! My WP dashboard is back and working fine! MM, I have an “in” with the Pope, and I got you one GET OUT OF HELL/PURGATORY/ADVANCED CALC CLASS card. You deserve lots of kharma points for your persistence and patience with all us whiney-babies on this forum.
