Unable to export media with blog posts
-
Whenever I select “All content” in WordPress.com dashboard to export, it saves only the blog posts WITHOUT media i.e. images, etc. Can you please guide me how to export my whole blog incuding images so that I can keep a copy of it? Thanks.
Here’s the screenshot;

You don’t need to make a backup of your site as wordpress.com takes care of a backup. The xml-file doesn’t contain images as such but it does contain a link to those images; When you import that xml-file into another site, those images will be retrieved into the new site. – https://wordpress.com/support/export/#export-as-a-backup-tool

The reasons I need a backup of my blog site include many including;
- WordPress.com can go out of business
- I want to host the site on a computer that is not connected to Internet.
- I want to migrate this site to a new host.
etc. etc.
Let’s go back to the original question asked and care less about my reasons to ask a genuine and real question. Is there any way to export the whole blog site alongwith images, etc?

as @staartmees said, you can create an .xml file of “all content” that can be used for your items 1, 2 and 3 but the original site still needs to be online to grab the images to place them on the new site. You can also export your media files separately but in your scenario Nos 1 and 2 you could restore your words to a new wordpress site but would need to add media files to it one by one.
If you really mean you’d like a copy of your site that you could save and view offline then there are companies such as Blogbooker that, for a fee, would make a Word doc or a pdf file of your whole site from your .xml file. Again, your site would still need to be online for the images to be captured.
