unable to fetch your activation record

  hi I am trying to register and it says that my email: (email visible only to moderators and staff) has already been activated. However, I am new to wordpress. I attempted to use the “Resend Activation Email” (tab) and got the expected “We were unable to fetch your activation record. Are you…” So, could you please “free-up” my email address ((email visible only to moderators and staff)) so that I may use it to register for an account? Many thanks!

  Hi there!

  I’m not sure I understand what you want to do. Your email address is associated with the account you were logged into when you posted this thread (mindfullyhappy). Email addresses can only be associated with one account at a time.

  Are you trying to create a new site? Or a new account?

  This account was created about five years ago and it looks like this email address has always been associated with it. However, it does appear that the account was basically unused for those five years.

  Does that clarify things for you? Let me know if you have any questions.
