Unable to find plugin option

  I am using twenty twelve theme for a free website. Why am I unable to add GeoDirectory plugin?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  Blogs hosted here at WordPress.com are not allowed to have plugins. It’s for security reasons, as all the hosted blogs share a common WordPress software core.

  For the ability to customize blogs via plugins, you can sign up with a web hosting company and upload WordPress software there. It does require more steps and the process is not as easy as creating blogs at WordPress.com. Here are the differences between both the options.

  So, my understanding is, if I create a website in worpress.org, even if I use a free template such as twenty twelve, I should be able to get the plugin option and can add a directory plugin. Pleas correct me if I am wrong.
