Unable to find the start free trial

    Hello,

How do I go about starting the free trial for a business plan ? I am trying to setup an e commerce website, but I don’t want to start spending money without trying to play around with the business plan features first. I have tried searching the forum for a solution, but couldn’t find one.

    Thank you

    Hello @kianncs
I may disappoint you, but free trail option is not available currently.

But here’s what you can do:
    1. You Upgrade to the Business Plan and pay for it.
    2. Use it before 30 days.
    3. If you like it keep continuing with the plan, if you did not like it then, you can cancel the plan before 30 days and receive a full refund against it.

WordPress.COM has a 30-day refund policy on all their paid plans, except for Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers. The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours. The refund period for Guided Transfers ends 30 days after purchase or as soon as your site has been moved, whichever comes first.

You can still cancel your plans after 30-days but you wont we refunded for your cancellation so it is suggested that you stay on the plan and let it expire.

    NOTE:

You will be refunded to the same payment method you used for your purchase. After processing, refunds usually take about a week to appear on your statement. For credit card refunds, it may take 5-7 business days to appear on your online bank account or in 1-2 billing statements.

    As stated here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/refunds/

You can cancel your plans from the manage purchases section. Read more about it here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/manage-purchases/

    Hope this helps 🙂

  • Hi there,

As @otpidusprime explained already, we don’t offer any free trials on WordPress.com. You can purchase the Business Plan and get a refund after 30 days if you’re not happy with it.

However, to install plugins you will need to first register or connect a custom domain to your site as well. If you register a domain using the free domain in your plan, the cost of that domain can only be refunded for 48 hours after registration, so if you cancel the plan after that, the domain portion will not be refunded. But you will still own the domain and be able to use it wherever you like – it’s not restricted to use only on WordPress.com.

If you connect an existing domain to your site via the domain mapping option, you will be able to receive a full refund should you cancel Business within 30 days of purchase.

Let me know if you have any questions about this.
