Unable to follow blogs via email subscription.

  The last 3-5 times I have tried to follow a WP blog, I get this message:
  “Your subscription did not succeed. Please try again with a valid email address”. I am using a valid email address and cannot understand why I cannot subscribe. I never, ever opted out of email subscription, even though you occasionally give me that message too. This problem has been going on about two months and it is getting very frustrating. I used to love blogs on WP because I had only to click Follow, add an email address and I was following. Now it is a giant hassle because my requests rarely go through. Can you please tell me what is going on?

  The most recent site at tried to follow via email subscription was: theirishcenter.org. I got the same message – your subscription did not succeed. I have no idea what is going on but I am terribly frustrated with WP.
