Unable to follow new blogs

  Hello, I think my account has been locked. I am unable to follow any new blogs. I didn’t know there was a limit to how many blogs we can follow in a sitting. If I am able to get this fixed, I will be more careful with my follows in the future.

  Hi there,

  We do have a limit on the number of sites you can follow in a certain period of time. This is to prevent people from rapidly bulk-following sites that they don’t intend to actually read, but that they’re just following to try and get the owners of those sites to follow them back. This is known as spam-following.

  The “Following” feature in the Reader is intended to follow a reasonable number of sites you actually want to read, so please only use it for that purpose.

  I’ve re-enabled following on your site, but note that if you continue hitting these limits, or follow so many sites that the Reader will stop working properly for you, your ability to follow sites may be suspended completely.
