Unable to get four square thumbnails in gallery

  I have just added a new post ‘foxgloves’ on my site and would like the gallery to display four equal in size, square thumbnails but it displays as one big rectangular image with three square thumbnails similar to the tiled mosaic gallery. I have ensured that the tick is not in the ‘display gallery as tiled mosaic’ in media settings and am not sure what else to do to correct it. Any ideas?

  Have you examined the support documentation here?

  What are your settings here?
  Dashboard > Settings > Media
  Have you enabled this?
