Unable to have author login.

    I have tried setting up a new user as an author in WordPress, but have been unsuccessful being able to login. I have reset the password, deleted the user and made a new one, deleted the security plugin and tried, as well as tried logging in from an Incognito window to avoid any cache or cookies issues. Nothing has worked. Please help!
