Unable to Implement a Header Feature Shown in the Widely Theme

I am currently using the Widely theme by Themes Kingdom. The live demo of Widely shows the header photo automatically changing on a rotational basis (along with buttons to manual advance and reverse). When I activated this theme, I assumed that this function would be available to me. However, I have been unable to implement it. According to the live demo, it is an included feature. Please explain what steps need to be taken to activate it.

    Thank you,

You are confusing “cusom image headers” and featured posts with featured images in a post slider. Please go back to the theme description page and http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/widely/

    Featured Images
Widely supports Featured Images, which, if set, will appear above your content on the blog index and single view, bold and beautiful.
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/#setting-a-featured-image

Quick Specs (all measurements in pixels):

The main column width is 800.
The featured image is 800 by 330 (width, height).
Images in the featured content slider are 960 by 490 (width, height).
Custom header images are 960 in width and flexible in height.

    Custom Header
Widely supports a flexible-height custom header image, which can be configured under Appearance -> Header.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I read the recommended information and implemented per the instructions. However, even after assigning tags to my two “poetry” posts and setting the field in settings/reading/featured content/tag = Poetry, the poetry posts’ featured images do not show up in a slider on the homepage.

After reading some other’s questions regarding similar issues, I’m wondering if the Widely theme requires that the homepage be set to Your Latest Post rather than Static (static is how it’s currently set). Is this perhaps where I have gone wrong?
