Unable to import my content from blogger

I’m trying to import my blogger content. It uploads ad then gets me to the screen where it says it is importing then it shuts off says try again or support. I’ve had issues deleting all of my old content. Something that should have been quick has taken 3 hours+ but its finally all gone. I just wanted to delete the old content and add the content from my blogger but it is just being redundant and not doing so and Ive downloaded it several times thinking maybe it is time sensitive but no matter it wont do it, how can I get it imported?

Then start the import again and let me know if you need more help.

@violetcrushbravin2012 can you ensure you’re downloading the blogger *content* rather than the theme? Usually I’ve seen this issue if you accidentally exported the theme settings rather than the content.
If you are positive you’ve been uploading the content rather than the theme, please upload the file directly to wordpress.com/media so we can check the file to see what’s wrong. In the meantime I’ve reset the importer for you again.

To be fair, I’m not sure what it is incorporating into the XML. I just do as it says to do then try to apply it and get that error. So, I can’t say if its content or theme/content or both its putting into the XML. Do I need to do a them on wordpress prior to attempting to create the XML from blogger? How do I ensure its only the content and not theme and content? As far as wordpress goes I don’t know beans about it which was why I backed off from it in the first place, I felt that I couldnt be creatively free with it like I could Blogger. I suppose it could be my ignorance of not knowing wordpress that is stopping me from achieving what I’d like to achieve. I don’t know. I know I don’t mean to be a pain in the backside with resting this or that, I’d just like my content here also but I don’t know if that is going to be possible. Sighsss

Just to keep you updated — we asked our developers to have a look at this issue and they’ve made a change on our end, which they are hoping does the trick. Can you try running the import again and let us know if you have any more trouble?

@violetcrushbravin2012 just to add a little more detail, we’d had our developers take a look as well. They were able to spot the error; it was on our side. Your export file had a character we didn’t expect (but should have) so it was getting stuck.
Basically, our bad; this should be fixed now.
Also I noticed the import was still in a “stuck” state, so I’ve reset that for you so that you can try once more. Want to give it a go?
