Unable to insert blog – linked to another WordPress account
-
Hello, I am trying to connect a client’s site. Through the console I see the following message: Unable to insert blog. Please try again or contact support. On the account recovery page it tells me that the site would be connected to another account. However, JetPack is no longer installed there. It may be that we once had the site connected, but then actually with the current account.
The blog I need help with is: http://www.burgenwein.de

Hello there,
Happy to help you with this.
To confirm, have you got Jetpack installed and connected onto burgenwein.de?
If yes, please disconnect the connection as per: https://jetpack.com/support/disconnect-jetpack-sites/ and then please reconnect via: https://jetpack.com/support/reconnecting-reinstalling-jetpack/

Thanks for the answer. I can install Jetpack but not set it up because I get the mentioned error message. Under My Sites the page is not displayed.
Can you disconnect the page manually?
Thanks!

Hi there,
http://www.burgenwein.de/ is not currently connected. I can confirm it used to be connect to your WordPress.com account, but that connection was ended two years ago.
The new connection isn’t working because XML-RPC appears to be disabled on your server. You can see the error on Jetpack’s debugger at https://jptools.wordpress.com/debug/?url=http://www.burgenwein.de/, and also if I try to view your site’s XML-RPC file at http://www.burgenwein.de/xmlrpc.php, it just redirects it to the front page.
Jetpack uses that service to communicate with your site, so please contact your hosting provider and make sure that’s enabled, and that they’re not blocking access to it, then try to connect again:
For more help with this, it would be best to ask in the Jetpack support forums at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack/

Hello!
I use a different folder structure. XML-RPC works via https://www.burgenwein.de/wp/xmlrpc.php
I was able to connect other projects with the same structure without any problems. So that is not the problem.
It’s not just a problem with Jetpack. The connection through WordPress.com doesn’t work through WooCommerce either.

In that case, please contact Jetpack support directly for more help with this. I’m afraid we’re at the end of the troubleshooting help we can provide from our end.

Do you mean when you log into your account at WooCommerce.com using the Log in with WordPress.com button? Or do you mean the WooCommerce Payments/Shipping and tax connection from within your site’s dashboard?
If the latter, that connection depends on Jetpack, so if Jetpack doesn’t work, it won’t work either. There is no direct connection between WooCommerce on your site and WordPress.com, separate from the Jetpack connection.

I meant the WooCommerce Payments from the Dashboard. Okay, I’ll try my luck on the Jetpack forum then. Thanks a lot anyway!
