Unable to insert Vimeo

Add topic to favorites
I’ve tried inserting url, as well as id of the video [vimeo 7071410] in both cases my post remains empty, updating or publishing doesn’t do the trick either. I’ve searched forums and support, but haven’t found resolution. I’d appreciate some help with it. Thanks in advance.

Your missing the “=” symbol

here is the correct format

Yup I get the same thing. Anyone else have a solution to this? My wordpress is the free version hosted on WordPress servers.

Sometimes you have to put it in the Visual editor, and sometimes you have to put it in the HTML editor. Try both and see. I think it’s theme related.

I was having trouble with this too but I did what raincoaster suggested and put the code in the HTML editor. It works!

I use basic and got it figured out.

First type or copy the link like this into your post
http://www.vimeo.com/6346955

Next, click on HTML which is right beside VISUAL at the top of your post text box and you will see it looks like this now
<a href="http://www.vimeo.com/6346955">http://www.vimeo.com/6346955</a>

Now edit it to look like this
[vimeo=”http://www.vimeo.com/6346955″>http://www.vimeo.com/6346955%5D

and hit the UPDATE button and it works. Go to the post to verify. It has worked for me.

Nuts… it still wants to create a link each time I make a post and sadly, I cannot delete past posts.

Lets see if putting line spacing in to break it up makes a difference. Put this all together and this is what you see in HTML.

If this doesnt work, admin… please make the necessary deletions would you?

Finalmente consegui colocar o video do vimeo no meu blog, utilizo a conta gratuita e o Google Chrome para editar. Vou colocar o link dele aqui para vocês verem que funciona!!!

Colocando Videos do Vimeo no WordPress!

Para nós Brazucas no meu post eu explico como eu fiz!!!
