unable to install the free elementor plugin

  elementor plugin is a free plugin and in my humble view a bit better then the default gutenberg . ..the plug in though does appears in the plug in directory , but asks for upgrade to install , though i think earlier it was available free without upgrade….
  so how do I install elementor without upgrade..?

  on other free web hosting sites I was able to install it , but on the free wordpress.com was unable to do so;..

  It was never possible to install third party plugins on the wordpress.com platform unless you upgrade to the Business Plan.

  However you really don’t need Elementor as our own Block editor produces cleaner, lighter and faster html.
