Unable to install the Instagram widget

Hello,
I’ve tried repeatedly to re-install the Instagram widget to my blog over the past 48 hours (it was working fine up until I changed the theme of my blog two days ago). When I add the widget and click the authorize button, it just suddenly disappears entirely and the widget field appears blank. The same thing happens after logging into my Instagram account first (as suggested by the text underneath the authorize button). Can you help?

Just curious – was this ever resolved for you? Because I’m having a similar issue now. Nothing disappears for me, but nothing happens and I’ve tried the same strategies.

Well I wasn’t referencing that specifically, but the steps are fairly self-explanatory. Just that when I click ‘authorize’ nothing happens. I’ve logged into my IG account – didn’t help. Tried exiting and attempting this avian – no go. I’ll try a different browser maybe, though I never had issue with Chrome in the past. I was able to set this up before in seconds, but when I routed my site to a domain all my widgets disappeared, so I’ve had to go through and add them all again. This is the only one malfunctioning. Might it have something to do with the domain change?

Yes this could be a case of having to change the URL in the widget because you changed the domain URL.I’ll tag this thread for Staff assistance. If you are trying to authorize Instagram from within the Customizer, please try from the Widget Dashboard instead. There have been issues reported with the Customizer.
