unable to invite any users to site

  Whenever I am trying to invite a new account to contribute to the site I am getting an error message: “Sorry, we couldn’t process your invitations. Please try again later”
  
  I have checked here: https://wordpress.com/people/invites/dcbcrowing.wordpress.com
  however I cannot see any pending invites, or any invites for that matter.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you.

  The “Sorry, we couldn’t process your invitations” error on dcbcrowing.wordpress.com usually occurs because the system has flagged the invite as a potential security risk or because there is a conflict with the email address’s existing WordPress.com account. If your Invites page appears empty despite your attempts, it means the invitation was blocked before it could be registered in the “Pending” database, often due to a browser cache issue or because the recipient’s email is already associated with an “unverified” account. To bypass this, try sending the invite using a different User Role (such as “Editor” instead of “Administrator”) or use an Incognito/Private window to rule out browser extensions interfering with the script. If the error persists, you can manually add the user by navigating to Users → Add New and checking the “Add existing WordPress.com user” box if they already have an account, which uses a direct connection rather than the standard email invitation engine.

  Hello @james3265166,

  Thank you very much for you quick response. I think that you are correct that the site has flagged that there is a potential security risk, however I have tried different email addresses, different roles, using the account username, and going into incognito and nothing seems to work. It sort of feels like my account has been flagged and cannot send invites.

  I cannot see the box saying “Add existing WordPress.com user” box in the add user page, I have added a screenshot of what I see when I get the error:
