Unable to launch site with free domain

  I seem unable to launch my site with the free .wordpress.com domain? I don’t want to buy a plan yet. Every time I click launch site from my dashboard it takes to me to a buy a domain/plan page and I am not able to select a free plan.
  Please help.

  Hello,

  You do not have to pay to launch a free site on WordPress.com.

  When you launch a site it gives you an option of selecting a paid domain but you can select the last option which says skip and continue with your free domain and you should be able to launch your site.

  I am having the same problem. When I click on launch, it takes me to a list of domains to purchase. The “continue with your free domain” is no where to be found.
