Unable to leave comment on friend's blog

  When I try to ‘like’ and leave a comment on sillyverse.com I am prompted for login details; a message tells me this is because my email name is used by an account I am not logged into. But I am logged into my account. And I am able to leave comments on other blogs. It seems sillyverse is the only one affected.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hello there, do you still need help with this issue? sillyverse.com is hosted here on WordPressdotcom and in order to Like a post there, you are required to log in to do so.

  Have you tried logging out of WordPressdotcom entirely, clearing your browser’s cache and cookies (which will also log you out of every other site you are logged in to) and then shutting down your browser and reopening it to log back in?

  If you are still unable to like or comment on WordPressdotcom sites, let us know.

  You appear to be describing either a connectivity issue or a browser related issue.

  Please act on all the tips here https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/ first.

  • Make sure you are running an up to date browser version found at http://browsehappy.com
  • Make sure you have both JavaScript and third party cookies enabled https://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/#how-do-i-enable-third-party-cookies.
  • Disable any adblocker browser add-ons and all browser extensions and adons.
  • Try clearing your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache
  • Try using another browser.

  If you are not successful please post this specific info here:
  (a) Exactly what kind of device you are using to connect to the internet and to WordPress.com.
  (b) Exactly which browser (and version of it) you’re using by checking here if necessary http://supportdetails.com/

  Hi there,

  It sounds like we’re not able to track your login across different sites, and that happens when something in your browser is blocking third party cookies. Please check the following:

  1. that third-party cookies are enabled in your browser. You can see that at the supportdetails link @timethief provided above.

  2. Disable any privacy extensions like Privacy Badger that might be blocking cookies, or set an exception for the site in question

  3. If you have tracking protection enabled in your browser, see if you can add an exception for WordPress.com.

  Also check if this happens if you log in with another browser.
