Unable to load images

    Hello, Ive been trying to upload photos and no matter how small the images are i keep getting the error ‘Post-processing of the image failed likely because the server is busy or does not have enough resources. Uploading a smaller image may help. Suggested maximum size is 2500 pixels.’ is there anything you recommend?

    Hey logankunde20, I also had this problem trying to upload from the Theme Customizer page.

    I solved it my going directly to the Media section at https://wordpress.com/media/yoursitename.com and dragging and dropping to that page instead.

    @islandfitbarbados thanks for that. It shouldn’t be giving that error, so if you’d be willing to let us know which images were giving you trouble, we can look into it.

    Hi supernovia,

    Pretty much any JPEG image I tried, even after I tried resizing them, whether I imported in batches or individually. It was, I theorized unlikely to be the images themselves, especially after a quick search showed that it wasn’t an isolated problem… probably something amiss with the image import on the customizer page only.

    Thanks for that! I wasn’t able to duplicate this on my test site, even with a huge 26MB image. I’m using Chrome / Mac (both current).

    I’ll leave it for now, but if you want to send me any more info you have we’ll happily test that too. Cheers!

    A couple of variables here, the parameters of which I can no longer reproduce.

    To begin with, I was using an expired theme (news to me that themes can expire) called “Adaption”. I’ve since switched to a more recent theme (“Wilson”), but can no longer revert to Adaption, so if that was the source of the problem, it’s in the inacessible past.

    Also, I was using the latest Firefox, and now I can’t reproduce the issue in Firefox with the “Wilson” theme.

    I tried Safari, and that works fine, but I didn’t try it when dealing with the earlier bug, so… no data.

    Thanks for your attention to this! I’ll be sure to complain when something else behaves unexpectedly :-D
