MOST Noteworthy that those with BT as ISP are not reporting any connection problems.

When problems cropped up 2 weeks ago today I emailed a friend who runs a top rated UK blog on WP and said I couldn’t reblog or connect to comment on his posts. He wasn’t surprised, having lost a lot work of overnight, but didn’t get any further problems. He’s with BT.

The obvious lack of problems with BT lines and persistent ones with TT and others may be a clue for engineers to keep investigating – if they have?

Btw, have alerted by subscribers, and the public dropping by, to this massive issue with WP. It even got several likes! Guess they like being kept in the picture – thanks folks.

    SUCCESS! Great news (I hope).

For 1st time have updated published post and saved and got returned to edit screen without being logged out. And when I checked Preview Changes, screen changed to show updated post and I could return to editing without being logged out. AND upon hitting blog’s name it gave me home page WITHOUT being logged out (my original issue).

Thank you team – I trust this will continue for all of us.

Wow, sadly my husband is not at home at this momentous minute, I have just checked, having read rjaybee’s post and yes, instant access to WP AND the newblog page, please keep it up so that my husband can create a new blog today! I better get writing now. Thank you thank you thank you.

wow, I have been logged in for a full 5 minutes without loosing connection. Can it really be over?

  • Unknown's avatar

Oh I do hope it’s fixed. After agonizing few days I have accessed my blogs with no problems for the last 10 minutes or so.
I exported all my blogs this morning when I got the chance – feeling a little paranoid! I even imported one to Blogger – good to know it can be done. I do like WordPress though, it has always been so reliable.
So if it’s fixed – what happened?!

  • Unknown's avatar

Not fixed for Talk Talk customers (at least not this one.) The last couple of days have been worse than ever. What had been sketchy, intermittent access is now no access at all.

  • Unknown's avatar

Not fixed for me w/go daddy in us ericafinds.com. Getting worse! I can eventually post but that is not optimal!!

  • Unknown's avatar

I am on Talk Talk – still OK at the moment and Cari I can see your blog. Wonder what is going on.

I’m looking into moving to Hostgator if this isn’t resolved soon; they host WordPress blogs and give you a full tutorial in how to move across easily. I had a website with them before and they were great. However I can’t get into my dashboard to make sure everything’s backed up okay so right now even if I was ready to move, I can’t. As to the engineers saying it’ll be resolved ‘soon’….if it’s not resolved, are they going to come up with some advice and/or solutions for those of us who have lost our blogs? Because even though our blogs are still there, if we can’t access them, change them, add to them or interact with other blogs on here, they’re basically lost to us. I just hope some proper help or alternative is going to be offered here if fixing the problem proves to be impossible.

Good to know my blog’s still there, Colleen! *waves forlornly at blog* At least TT didn’t deny there was a problem, they just couldn’t say when it would be sorted. How hard can it be? You blocked it, bloody well unblock it!

For the first time in over two weeks, I’ve just been able to load both my blogs and the admin page quickly and fully, and without being disconnected after two minutes. I’ve just commented successfully on four other blogs without being logged out. Perhaps hope is returning! To the WordPress engineers: thanks if you have done this, and if you haven’t, don’t touch anything! I hope everyone else on here has the same result, and soon.

Happiness is…..being able to work on my blogs again. Not that all the problems are resolved but most are, so it seems like it is gradually clearing.

  • Unknown's avatar

Can concur with 4xporters……..blog fires up just fine, let’s me look around and I can even preview posts/drafts again. Happy! For now ;)

I’m back and running to day – fingers crossed the fix holds!

@ericaagran403385004: The issue described in this thread is for WordPress.com users in the UK. The site you mentioned is not hosted on WordPress.com, but on Godaddy, which is a separate issue.

If you need help for that site, you can ask in the WordPress.org support forums at http://wordpress.org/support/

  • Unknown's avatar

For users in the UK, it appears that the issue is resolving now. If you’re still having issues, you may have luck trying to access your site through a proxy:

How do I use a Proxy Server?

  • Unknown's avatar

I thought my access problem was resolved, having had normal access for a couple of days, but the last two days I’ve not been able to get into my blog at all, so things have clearly not been sorted out yet.

  • Unknown's avatar

I’m having this same issue. It’s odd though because I am able to view my sub directory websites but not my main site. It seems to happen randomly though. It seems to be fine on mobile devices. I’ve called my hosting company and they see no issues. I’ve viewed this in several different settings and locations and like I said, it happens randomly. Hosting is Godaddy and I’ve tested in public and private networks in different locations. (200 mile distance. Not sure if that says anything)…

Please, has anyone found a solution?
