anikducf: which provider are you using? (and just to be sure, this is happening while you try to access your wordpress.com blog, right?)
-
I am using Go Daddy server and its happening while I update something from the admin panel of wordpress.

BBC News online today:
“Internet users have been prevented from accessing the Radio Times and hundreds of OTHER websites as a result of the Premier League’s battle with an unrelated copyright infringing site.
The accident occurred because the sites share an internet protocol address with First Row Sports, which offers unauthorised streams of football games.”
Unquote. A similar blocking issue even if not directly related (but who knows?).

I can get the Radio Times site. I’d sacrifice that for my still inaccessible WordPress sites in a heartbeat.

Most of the problem I was having with not being able to leave comments or connecting to blogs and my own Dashboard seem to be over now, it’s been a relief to feel like blogging is returning to normal over the that last week or more!
But – I’m still experiencing comments going into the spam and a few of my followers comments ending up in my spam box. If you’re someone who never checks your spam box – check it now, you might be surprised to find comments from people you know! Some of my followers don’t check theirs either, so my comments are continuing to go unnoticed.
I’m posting this as an update to what is happening from where I am, so please don’t tell me I need to start a new thread relating to comments – I’m not going to. (Best to read my earlier comments.)

This may or may not be an overhang from the original problem, but I find WP very VERY slow sometimes. Some pages just don’t load for several minutes, even though the “Unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data.” message seems to be a thing of the past.

Still no improvement on Talk Talk, my blog access is crap to non-existent (mainly the latter today.) Any updates from the WordPress folks? We’re looking at new ISPs at the moment but it’s a bit annoying to constantly feel like we’ve been left high and dry here.
-
An update for WP. I’m still only getting intermittent access (via Phone Co-op). Its seems everyone is claiming the blocking has stopped, but it clearly hasn’t.
-
Still no improvement and same old problems for me on talktalk. Guess we’ll have to wait for the update from Rachelr

Just using TalkTalk after three weeks of using BT. Managed to access my blogs eventually, but almost unworkably slow. Abandoned TalkTalk and logged into nearby BT Fon – much better. Seems the problem isn’t solved yet.
-
Just adding my bit – I’m with zen internet, who I have always found excellent. And I’m getting nowhere either. Surely with the problem being connected to several different providers there must be some common WordPress issue?

No improvement. Hard to complain about a free service. But it has limited appeal if it doesn’t work!

We’ve given up on TT/Wordpress ever resolving this and signed up with plusnet. Just got to hang on for the switch now. I’m appalled that TT can just arbitrarily block a respected blogging platform and equally as mystified by WP’s inability to sort out a fix almost ten weeks later. The mucking about, stress and disruption this has caused has been unbelievable. I don’t think anyone’s coming out of this mess looking good.

Would be great if wordpress could bother to indicate whether they’re actually working on this at all, and if so what’s happening, or whether UK customers just need to abandon wordpress for something that actually works.
I appreciate that the problem wasn’t originally wordpress’ fault, but I’m suprised they haven’t been able to fix it, and really annoyed that they seem to just be ignoring it. Not updating customers for a month is really poor customer service. [And yes, I’m getting a service from them for free, so can’t expect as much as from someone I’m actually paying (if I were paying for this, I’d have stopped paying weeks ago!). But I assume they do get something out of this arrangement or else they wouldn’t offer the service in the first place. And if they don’t at least talk about fixing this problem, I have to imagine they’re going to lose a lot of customers]

My sense is they are no longer following this. The last sticky reply was nearly 1 month ago and looks final. The difficulty of eliminating all traces of this problem may not be worth it, so it will go on bugging a few people. In my case, the initial symptoms have gone away, but WP is very slow for some of every day (non-loading pages), which may or not be part of the overhang. You live with it or leave.
