Unable to Locate Header Editing Option

  Hello!

  Total computer noob here, I am attempting to update the phone number located at the header of our wordpress site. For the life of me I cannot locate this on the back end. Could anyone point me in the right direction? Most things I have edited in the past have been pretty easy as far as locating them, typing in the simple change & then pressing an update buttom. But our header doesn’t seem to have this option, atleast not that I can find. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

  Hi there,

  I do not see any sites under your @samanthajt72 WordPress.com account when I check on our end. You can confirm by visiting this page: https://wordpress.com/sites.

  Is it possible you created your site under a different login?  Is it the case that you are using another provider like GoDaddy, Bluehost, Hostgator, etc. instead? What is the URL of the site you are needing help with?

  Happy to check in our system so we can take a closer look.

  Hello!

  Thanks for getting back to me!

  I believe the email attached to our site is (email visible only to moderators and staff). However when I tried to log in using those credentials it would not allow me.

  Thanks for that information! It looks like your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted at GoDaddy.

  Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.

  You should reach out to GoDaddy for help with this issue. Since they’re hosting your site’s files, they also have access to those files and are the best ones to help you sort out where you would need to change your company’s contact information.
