Unable to Log in

I have a website created on WordPress : http://petentialofficial.com/
This was on my email account, however when I attempt to log in, WordPress states that this is an invalid (unknown) email. Even though I have emails from my wordpress to that email account.How can I gain access to my wordpress account?

http://petentialofficial.com/ is not hosted on WordPress.com, but was made using the open source WordPress software, and is hosted with Hostgator.com. Your admin login for that site has no connection to your WordPress.com account, and we are not able to help you regain access to that site.

Hi,
Apologies, but I am very confused with the above statement.
I do have my hostgator log in which seems to be working correctly.How would I be able to gain access to edit these sites (seeing as I used wordpress to create this site I would assume I’d continue as I did before)
I also want to create another two new sites, so helping with this issue would help me to be a return client.I will attempt the reset password option, but would that then give me access to to my wordpress log in.
Or is there an alternative location where I could gain access? It used to work so that’s why I am confused.

Let me clear the confusion. WordPress.com is a hosting provider much like Hostgator where we use the WordPress.org software to power the websites hosted here. You can read more about the differences here:
