Unable to log in

    I have taken over the business and the website with it. I thought I changed the login details to myself to stop the previous owner from logging in and now the login does not work. I did set up an account with the login I thought was the new and the site isn’t there.
    The original login page from previous owner was
    https://www.thedragonsback.co.uk/wp-admin/
    The user name is
    [redacted]
    password was
    [redacted]

    I tried to change the hosting company from A2 to hosting.co.uk and this is where everything went wrong.

    I hope you can help me out, I am getting to desperate stages now as our website is not working correctly now

    The forum you have posted is for the WordPress.com hosting platform, which is different than the WordPress software that your site is using. You can learn more about these differences here:

    Hi,

    I am unable to login to wordpress.org. It states that there is no such email. I have tried ALL different emails from previous owner and my emails and non of them are recognised. I am at a loss of how to gain access to the website, which needs to be taken down. I am not tech savvy at all, and set up the same web address on wordpress.com, so I am assuming there are now 2 websites floating about ?????

    Hi there,

    If you haven’t posted in the WordPress.org forums before, you won’t have an account there yet, and will need to register one first.

    Unlike WordPress.com, which is a hosted service, WordPress.org is just a website where the WordPress community collaborates on the open source software, and you don’t need an account there to use that software. An account there is only used to post in those forums, or to contribute to the software yourself.

    That said, the WordPress.org forums won’t really be able to help in this case, as they don’t have any access to the server where your site is hosted either. They can only provide advice on using the software.

    For help regaining access to your site, or to take it offline, you need to contact the hosting provider where it’s currently hosted. Based on the IP address for your domain, the site you currently see on it is hosted at https://www.jolt.co.uk/, so please try contacting them directly.

    You have created a new site with us, http://thedragonsback.wordpress.com/, but that site is completely empty, and currently still in Coming Soon mode, so no one but you can see it. It’s a completely separate site from the one at http://thedragonsback.co.uk/
