Unable to log in. New long in screen unresponsive.

I am trying to log into my admin page. Here is the link to what the login page looks like:
https://wordpress.com/log-in?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fdorothygarabedian.wordpress.com%2Fwp-admin%2F&retry=1The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
That looks like the normal WordPress.COM login screen to me.
What I post below applies only to sites hosted by WordPress.COM on our servers and not to sites hosted anywhere else.
WordPress.COM sites are solely owned by the username accounts that registered them.
You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard. The Admin login link to the dashboard for every blog hosted by wordpress.COM is:
http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
* You will have to replace “name_of_blog” with the actual blog’s name in that URL.
I recommend bookmarking that link or memorizing it.
You can update your email address here https://wordpress.com/me
If you are not logged in under the correct WordPress.COM username account then clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies prior to logging into another account
If you did not register the site under your username account and do not have the required access, then you need to contact the person who registered the account and site under it, and have them act or transfer the site to your username account by using this process. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account
If the login information has been lost go to
https://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/
https://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/#lost-passwordIf you check each and every possible email address and account and are not successful gaining access to the blog(s) then you must complete the form for account recovery at this link https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery and submit it to the Account Recovery Staff, and provide proof ownership, so they can contact you by email ie. not on these public support forums, which are available to everyone with internet access.
Support Staff cannot breach the privacy policy and provide the log-in information. You have to provide proof ownership to Account Recovery Staff to gain access https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/

Thank you for the detailed reply.
1. The login screen is not the normal login screen I sign in to. This one is different. At the bottom it says powered by Jetpack. It is impossible to sign in.
2. My blog is registered as: dorothygarabedian.wordpress.com – although I have named my blog Detours and Diversions.
3. I have cleared the browser cache.
4. I am using a Mac OS X Mountain Lion, powered by Safari.
5. Still no luck logging in. -
One more thing: The URL that pops up when I try to log in is like this:
(in green) wordpress.com automatic, Inc. (lock symbol) wordpress.com/log-in?redirect_to_https:// etc etc.
-
https://wordpress.com/log-in/en-gb?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fdorothygarabedian.wordpress.com%2Fwp-admin%2F is the correct link if you’re logging in to your wp-admin dashboard. The “powered by jetpack” at the bottom may be a recent addition, as is the necessity to click “continue” to get to the password field now after you’ve typed your username.

Thanks, but as I have said previously I am blocked from entering any information in any of the fields on the login page. The url you have quoted in your response is correct but there is that other part preceding it – the green box – with the wording “wordpress.com automatic, Inc.” + the lock symbol. At the bottom of the page it says “powered by Jetpack”. How this page/info got there is a mystery but this seems to be where the problem is. How do I get my old login page back?
May I repeat: Nothing happens I place my mouse in any of the fields of the login page.

Hi there,
We did make a change to the login page in that you now enter the username/email and password on two different screens, similar to how Gmail works, but I’m not able to replicate what you describe. If I open the link you provided in an incognito window in Chrome I’m able to enter your username, and then it continues to the next screen where I can enter the password, so the fact that you say you can’t enter any information on that screen points to a browser-related problem.
Can you please tell me exactly how you get to that link? What URL do you enter into your browser and where do you click?
Can you also please confirm what browser you’re using, including the version number?
The Jetpack logo has been on all WordPress.com login screens for several months already, and is not related to this recent change to the login flow.

Thanks. I hope we can get closer to a solution.
1. I do not use Gmail.
2. I do not use Chrom
3. I use Safari 6.1.6. (7537.78.2)
4. The URL that I type in is: https://dorothygarabedian.wordpress.com.
When I do that the URL box changes and comes up with a URL in the green box and lock symbol (described above).
5. Then the new log-in page shows up, but I am prevented from entering any data in the fields. -
1. I do not use Gmail.
2. I do not use ChromI did not say you use them. I mentioned another service that uses a similar login flow to ours and I told you how I tested this.
3. I use Safari 6.1.6. (7537.78.2)
Safari 6 was released in 2012 and is a very outdated browser. The latest version of Safari is 11. It’s possible that Safari 6 no longer supports all the HTML, CSS and JavaScript code that is used on WordPress.com (and most other websites for that matter). If that’s the case, there’s not anything we can do. You’ll either need to update Safari (which will like require you to update Mac OS or iOS as well), or you’ll need to switch to a different browser.
You can see this page for the most popular browsers and download the newest version:
You can also use the old login page which can still be accessed here:
https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?no_calypso
But eventually more and more features on WordPress.com will stop working for you, so long term the only solution is to update your browser.
4. The URL that I type in is: https://dorothygarabedian.wordpress.com.
When I do that the URL box changes and comes up with a URL in the green box and lock symbol (described above). That’s what’s supposed to happen. The green lock simply indicates that traffic to your site is encrypted so outside parties, like your internet provider, cannot see the data being sent.
5. Then the new log-in page shows up, but I am prevented from entering any data in the fields.
Why does the login field show up? Your site is public, so there is no way the login screen will appear all by itself simply from loading your site. Where are you clicking that is taking you to your login screen?

1. I tried logging into my blog site with the URL you provided. A blank white page showed up.
2. About trying to upgrade, this is turning out to be waaaaay over my head.
It appears I am stuck until I find someone who can help me out in person.
Thank you for your assistance, however. -
1. I tried logging into my blog site with the URL you provided. A blank white page showed up.
Please try clearing your browser cache and cookies, and try that link again.
2. About trying to upgrade, this is turning out to be waaaaay over my head.
On your Mac, open App Store, click on Updates, and install any updates showing as available there.
If your Mac is too old to update to the latest Mac OS and Safari versions, you’ll need to install a different browser.
Go to the Browse Happy site I mentioned above, and click on one to download it. Once it’s downloaded, click on the file to open it, and your Mac should tell you how to complete the installation steps.
