Unable to log into old account

  Hello. I had an account years ago (2014-2016) at a guess. I seem to remember paying £18. Anyway, I didn’t do much with it, but now we’re on lockdown …..

  Although I remember my old email address, username and password, it has stopped me logging in for security reasons, wishing me to do a reset via the email. I haven’t used that old email for years, so I am unable to reset. I know the account is still there, as when I tried to set-up a new site using my old username, it takes me to login, and I go round in circles again. I have no idea of my URL, and no way of know when I paid or how etc.

  Any chance of getting this account opened again, or do I just move on with this new account and start again?

  What’s the address of the site you’re trying to access?
  If you can’t access the old email anymore, you will want to look for a transaction ID: https://wordpress.com/support/billing-history/#retrieving-a-transaction-id

  With that, we’ll be able to help you regain access to that account.
