  unable to login to wp-admin and the actual website. 404 error

  I had the same issue but i got it resolved in the end. Your best to change the DNS name servers to point to your host and you can do so by going to you domains page on wordpress and clicking the edit button to change the name servers. If you have installed wordpress through your host, i would uninstall it and install it again and try using the new login details that they give you.
