Unable to login: lost authenticator and have no backup codes
-
Hi
I have one blog that I haven’t used for quite a while. Yesterday I tried to login to it, and found that it have two-factor authentication process enabled. Since then, I’ve switched of smartphone and didn’t remember the Google Authenticator thing when I did. And, of course, I haven’t printed any backup codes at the time of setup the two-factor auth.
I also cannot login to post here in the forum with the original account, so I do with this new one.The blog which I can’t login is:
elasobine.wordpress.com
Is there a solution?
I tried to fill this form https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery but it just send me to change-password page (which I can actually do right now). Finally I was able to send the form telling it that I didn’t remember my username and giving the email address of this new account (just to clarify, I remember my account. I’m able even to change my password).
I tried to get the code via SMS, but I think I don’t have my mobile setted up in my account or I did it wrong.Any help is appreciated!

That account recovery form is the best bet for issues like this. Due to the private nature of information required for account recovery and the public nature of these forums, we cannot help with account recovery here.
The account recovery team works through those tickets in the order that they are received.
