Unable to login – SMS not delivering
-
I am unable to login using my actual username (drajith)
Tried to login as two factor authentication is activated earlier. No code is delivered by SMS or the code generated by authenticator do not work.
I do not have backup codes or the activation url.

I’m having the same issue — not receiving anything via SMS (and I called AT&T my messaging service is working normally) — and the authenticator app is not working.
I don’t have backup codes either.
Could someone help me log into my account via my email associated with wordpress.lalachinoise.com?

Hi there,
We provide backup codes for a reason, namely to prevent you being locked out of the account in a situation exactly like this.
You do not have SMS 2FA codes activated on that account, so you won’t be receiving SMS’s. You have the Authenticator app option active. If the codes from your authenticator app is not working it most likely means your phone’s time settings are out of sync with the servers on which the authenticator app is running. Most authenticator apps have a setting where you can reset this.
wordpress.lalachinoise.com is not the URL of a WordPress site. Can you please provide the username of the account you’re trying to access? Please also try my advice above regarding re-syncing your authenticator app if our system is not accepting those codes.

Thank you for responding. The user name for the login issue account is drajith and not eSexologist.
I tried several times with the authenticator, but not working.
The email ID registered with the user name drajith – (email visible only to moderators and staff), i have access.Kindly provide the backup codes to my registered email ID
Thank you in advance.

The SMS is activated, because it shows, the SMS is sent.

Yes, I spoke of the drajith account. Now it is showing that we sent you an SMS, but the SMS was blocked by your network provider.
Kindly provide the backup codes to my registered email ID
That would completely defeat the purpose of two-factor-authentication. It was your responsibility to print out the backup codes when you activated 2FA. We cannot send them to you via email.
If you don’t have the backup codes, you’ll either need to contact your network provider and find out why they are blocking the messages, or you’ll need to submit our account recovery form and verify your ownership of the account before we can grant you access.

You only, initially told that SMS service is not activated in my account.

How I can prove myself, as the owner of the account as the “WordPress Server” has connectivity issues because it is not properly linked with my google account. I never expected this kind of issues in the future and I was not aware of the backup codes while starting the wordpress account.

I am closing this thread in favour of the email ticket.
If re-synching your authenticator app doesn’t help, please start a new thread, include the username of the account you’re trying to access, and add the tag “modlook” to make sure a staff member sees it. You can start a new thread at this link:
