Unable to login to my blogs – dashboard stalls
-
@tuelis, Widgets are on your blog – the things clear at the bottom of your blog (categories, etc.).
Log out of wordpress, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart your browser and then try again.
On Firefox, it is completely and totally compliant with web standards. IE7 and IE8 are NOT. That is the reason that IE8 has a compatibility mode and Firefox does not – it doesn’t need one. This would not be a problem if MS would simply comply with web standards, but it is highly unlikely they ever will given their track record. They have never complied with web standards completely and it is a thorn in the side of website developers.
To the right of the address bar, you will see a broke page looking icon. Hover your mouse over that and you will see a tool tip saying something like “compatibility view”. Click that and when that icon is darkened, it means compatibility view is on and when it is lighter it means it is off. If you have a page where things are messed up, turn compatibility mode on or off as required.
You can also set it by going to tools > compatibility view to turn it on or off.

Sacredpath, my compatibility view obviously isn’t doing anything. I still can’t get onto my dashboard.
