Unable to Login to WordPress.org Developer Account – Lost 2FA Codes

  I’m unable to log in to my WordPress.org developer account (for themes/plugins) at https://login.wordpress.org/wp-login.php.

  I have my username, email, and password. However, I recently reset my mobile phone and lost all my backup codes and passkeys. Now, the two-factor authentication (2FA) is preventing me from logging in.

  Could you please help me regain access to my account?

  Did you already try resetting your password there? The link to do so is right under the log-in box. If that doesn’t work, then you might need to create a new account.

  I have the password and email, but I don’t have the backup code and passkey for 2-step verification, so I can’t login without it. I have uploaded some themes on this account which are approved, so I need this account.

  Is there any way to login without the passkey and backup code?

  Perhaps you still need to create an account to log in and ask for advice at the correct forum? Logging in to the .org support forum (or this support forum for free sites hosted here at WordPress.com) has no relation with the credentials required to log into your site wherever that may be hosted.

  The reason I suggested resetting your password was to see if doing so would let you back in, and, if not, create a new account with a different email so you could post to the ORG forums for help.

  @mniteen220d0fe31398 If you email forum-password-resets[at]wordpress.org from the email address on that account then someone can help you.

  It may take a while as that is a volunteer driven email. But someone will help you there.
