  the menu bar to the left has collapsed. I can’t seem to find the logout button or reinstate the menu bar to a wider layout

  First, to expand the left-side menu, just click this button to expand:

  

  To log out, you need to do so from your profile page by clicking the “log out” button in the upper left corner.
