Unable to make a new blog/website by a certain name.

  I’m new here and have almost no idea how things go here.

  I want to start a new blog with a specific name but when I choose it, I receive the message “Sorry, that site already exists!” while when I visit that site it says that it is no longer available and the authors have deleted this site.

  If that has been deleted, why am I not able to create with the same title?

  No problem. We all start off somewhere :)

  Even if a blog owner has deleted their site, the domain name they’ve used cannot be used by anyone else. Just to quote:

  We cannot, under any circumstances, allow someone to take over the address of a blog that was owned and deleted by its original/previous owner.

  It’s worth taking time to think of an original blog address, then there’s less chance of it already being taken. Hope that helps.
