Unable to make purchases

I put debit and credit cards (master and visa) but it decline telling me error authorizing credit cards. I go to payment methods sections and it says ‘Error preparing new payment method configuration. Please contact support quoting error HYTFSI.’ Is there any another option to make purchases?

It’s more likely to be an issue with your bank end, could you please reach out to your bank and make sure everything is ok with the account/card that you are using.

Hi! This HYTFSI actually does require our support, as mentioned in the error. We’ll ask our payments team to take a look. They typically require roughly one business day to respond, and will usually update you directly.

@supernovia Hi thank you, now I can click add payment method but when I input my card information, it says my card was declined. I contact my bank support and they said WordPress isn’t in whitelist merchant non-3D secure 🤔

Hi there,
We support both 3D Secure and 3D Secure 2 for payments on WordPress.com. The actual 3D-secure verification is done by your bank. If we’re not whitelisted for 3D-secure payments, it’s the bank that needs to add us to such a whitelist. So this isn’t something we can change from our end.
I’m afraid you’ll need to sort this out directly with your bank, as they’re the ones preventing the card from being charged.

I’ve tried 2 debit cards and 1 credit card from 3 different banks, but still couldn’t make a purchase. I visited the Indonesian WordPress forum https://wordpress.com/id/forums/ and several users had the same problem.

Our payments team has confirmed this isn’t an issue on our end – the charges are being declined by your bank/credit card company.
Please make sure with them that you’re allowed to make international purchases on the card.
