Unable to move from blogger to wordpress

First of all I am not tech savy at all. Currently I have a blog at blogger with my custom domain name but I want to move over to wordpress, use same domain name at wordpress and buy one of the premium themes. I bought $13 to map the domain but it did not change my domain name to http://www.foodpleasureandhealth.com (which is my original blog at blogger). Can anyone please help me sort this out.

Purchasing the upgrade is step one. After that you have to do the set up. Please follow the instructions for mapping an existing domain to your WordPress.com blog. http://support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/
After you make the domain mapping purchase here > Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades and do the set up it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.

thank you so much for the info. So as for my understanding – my blogger domain http://www.foodpleasureandhealth.com will be transferred over to wordpress as foodpleasureandhealth.com after $13 domain cost? Is that correct? I am zero tech savy.

Also, after importing to wordpress I kept reading about DNS which I have no idea about. What changes, if any do i need to make?

Mapping a domain does not result in the transfer of content. To do that you need an XML export file of your Blogger content which you can then import into your WordPress.com blog. http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/
