Unable to obtain my email verification Code

I began a transfer of the domain to a self-hosted site.
Everything has been slow going especially trying to have questions answered via email that takes up to 2 days to get a reply.All my questions asked this way so far have been met with little to no assistance by way of steps I could take or helpful and appropriate information. I am not impressed to say the least.
I am in the middle of the final transfer step having completed the inputting of the EPP code after several attempts to do so and then finding it in my email account about 6 times. I have this code. I have put it in. It then says I need to enter the contact verification and that it will be sent to my email. I didn’t receive it. I contacted support who said to change the email address, which I did and received the EPP code again. I contacted support to say I didn’t receive it and then received a separate EPP code from help@ which, again, I have. I have this code. I was then advised to cancel the transfer and start again. So I did. And I received the same EPP code. But no contact email verification code.
I have now sent 2 emails saying pretty much the same thing in the hopes that it is picked up quicker or read by someone who knows what I need.
I am with BlueHost now and both the site and online chat say I need to get this from WordPress. There is no other way to get it.
The email address is currently correct and working. Can somebody please advise both what I can do now, how long it takes to receive such things and why my verification code is not coming through.

Opening multiple support requests does not help us be more efficient with providing support.
