unable to open the site from other PC

  Hi,

  I am a newbie with wordpress, I did install the wordpress on my local PC that has IIS7 and PHP and mysql, I can open the wordpress from my local PC that has IE 8, but when try to open the site from othere PC the site get open but I cannot see any background, I can see the blue text, something is not working correctly.

  any idea why is this heppening?

  WordPress is software that needs to be installed on a web server if you want other people to be able to access it.

  WordPress.com is a place that hosts free WordPress blogs. You can create one at http://en.wordpress.com/signup/

  Hi,

  Thanks for your update,

  what we want to do is to install the wordpress on our webserver and create an website that users can accecc it from the internet, before doing so I did install it on one of our computers in the the network (for testing ) and as I said we did create an test website but when try to access it from other PC’s in the network the layout of the website is blank and we can just see the links in the website.
  Do you think if we install the wordpress on our webserver then we wouldn’t have this issue?

  Hi,

  Thanks for your update,

  I did findout what is diffirent bewteen.org and .com.
  what I did is install the wordpress on an webserver that create an test web site now when user try to access the site that I made they get the site open but no background just an with screen with all the link of the test site, why can I open the test site from my local server and not from other locations?
