Unable to post comments on other blogs-have error messages

    Just moved from Blogger to WordPress. Absolutely love WP. I have one huge problem I can’t seem to answer in existing info available. I was able to make and post a comment on a Blogger blog via open id the other day. I have since tried to comment and post on several Blogger blogs through WP username. With WordPress profile selected and my username in the dialogue box, “post comment” results in a message from WP “you do not own that identity”. Using the same profile selection and inputting my open id, just to see if it worked, results in “URL contains illegal characters”. Using the open ID profile and my open ID results in “credentials could not be verified”. I’ve checked all my settings. Any suggestions? (As a side note, one Blogger blogger has mentioned to me they cannot post on my WP blog. Another has actually been able to. Don’t know what error the one encountered nor if this situation has anything to do w/the situation I’m having.) Thank you.

    Open ID is and always has been touchy. I generally simply use Name/URL instead.

    I had to ponder that for a moment. Did you see smoke rising or hear gears grinding nearby? I thought I’d tried it before and it had failed. I ended up manually typing in my URL (not copy/paste), which means I typed just the guts between the http…wordpress.com and it worked. Lights must’ve been out!? Thank you.
