unable to post since update

hi. It seems there was a recent update since the post/edit post page has a new look. However, since the update, we haven’t been able to publish a new post. When we hit publish, there are just 3 circles/balls jumping up and down like its trying to load but it just keeps on going and going. Please help. thanks

The workarounds are:
When you go to the drop-down menu on the left of the grey Admin bar, and you get to NEW, instead of opening up the drop down menu options Page, Post, etc, just click the word New. Gets you straight to the fully featured dashboard editor.

I have attempted twice to add a new post, but I cannot find the “publish” button. I lost my work the first time, but I typed the post content into a document the second time, so at least I will be able to publish sometime without needing to redo most of the work again.
