unable to post videos

  I’ve added youtube links directly earlier but now I’m unable to post a video via Url either in youtube or Vimeo. I get the message ‘The file could not be uploaded because the file type is not supported.’ Please help

  Are you pasting the YouTube or Vimeo video URL directly into the visual editor on a separate line? Here’s the guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/

  Hey, thanks a lot micawbr. I was trying to add the video as a media file while just copy pasting the url helped. :)
