Unable to preview themes

    Hi. There used to be a way to preview themes on your WordPress blog before activating, but I can’t find the option anymore?

    I don’t want to switch to a new theme without seeing how well it works with my content and requirements, and the live demo is simply not good enough for this. I certainly wouldn’t want to pay for a premium theme if I was unable to test it first.

    Hi,

    See the Preview a Theme Before Switching section of the Change Your Theme support page. You may still preview themes, but, according to the support page, only so-called “classic themes” have the “Try & Customize” option available. It indicates that this option isn’t available on block-based themes. I presume these conditions apply to both premium and free themes.

    That’s very disappointing, but thanks for responding. I presume that the lack of a preview facility on block-based themes must be a technical limitation.
