Unable to preview themes. (Normal state of affairs for my blog now?)

  • Unknown's avatar

When I browse the themes and select one to preview, I get a pop-up with these messages:

    Preview not available

Try logging out and then logging back in to get the magic working again.

If that doesn’t work, please contact support.

I have tried logging out and logging back in, to no avail. It should be noted that my blog has premium services CSS and DNS pointer. Perhaps for some reason my inability to preview is related to the presence of these premiums.

This is NOT an urgent problem. I just had some spare time, and I was fiddling around! The problem has occurred on several browsers on a MacOSX system on the morning of July 5, 2010. And I realize the Support staff isn’t present this morning. Have a happy holiday weekend, folks!

It’s working fine for me on my Mac (10.6.4) with Safari and also with Firefox.

Log out of wordpress, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart the browser and then see if that helps. Many times it is a cookie or corrupt file in the cache that is causing problems.

The blog linked to your wordpress.COM username is not a wordpress.COM blog; it is a blogspot blog. If you are referring to a wordpress.COM blog then please either post the URL for the blog in question starting with http:// or link it to your wordpress.COM username.
