unable to publish from Word ("Word canot register your account)

I understand that wordpress suggests we use Windows Live Writer over Word (if you’re not going to use the wordpress editor), but I can’t get Live Writer to install–and even if I could, I like having options–so I would prefer to get this resolved. I know I’m using the right password so I have no idea what the issue is.
Please advise.

Hello there. If the issue you’re having is with Live Writer, you have to contact Microsoft support, as I am not able to troubleshoot third-party software.
If the problem is related directly to your WordPress.com site, please let me know what the trouble is specifically and I can help.

If it’d help you describe your problem, I highly recommend providing us with some screenshots. A picture is worth a thousand words :) You can simply upload the screenshot(s) to your Media Library, like any other image, and I’ll be able to access it from there. Just let me know when I should take a look.

Thank you very much for your reply. I was looking around earlier and found an article that showed the screenshot for New WordPress Account in Word–and I immediately realized why it wasn’t working. I had pasted over the “/Xmlrpc.php” part at the end. :o( I hadn’t paid enough attention to that field at the time, but when I saw it in a screenshot it finally registered with me. ;o)
Anyway, thanks again for your time and suggestions–very much appreciated!!
