Unable to reblog my own posts

  Hello. I am unable to reblog my own posts. The reblog option does not show in the reader (I am subscribed to my own blog) but it shows in the actual posts. But when I click it, nothing happens. I have to copy and paste into a new post to “reblog.”

  In the dashboard settings, I do have this option enabled (show the reblog button on posts).

  I don’t enable readers to share my posts with social media but I should be able to reblog my own posts, right? Perhaps I am wrong…

  I wouldn’t mind if my readers were able to reblog in the WP reader.

  Hello Greystreetgeorgia,

  The Reblog Button is not showing up on my blog at all today, my guess is that it is a temporary bug/glitch that will probably only last a few hours, this happens sometimes unfortunately.

  I am not seeing the Reblog Button on your posts or mine, you probably need to clear your cache/temporary internet files/et cetera (http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/) in your browser first, and then you will probably not see it anymore either.

  Reblogging is probably down temporarily from a bug/glitch, this happens every so often, I have reported this problem several times before in the past; and they usually fix it within hours of reporting it.

  When I click onto an individual post on my blog and the individual post opens to a new page, I see the reblog button at the bottom of the post. When I mouse over it, it appears to be a working button – live link whatever, however, it does not work. I don’t know how long this has been an issue as I have never tried to reblog one of my own posts until today. I am not interested in clearing my cache to see if my reblog buttons disappear. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

  Thanks for the report! It looks like the reblog button is indeed broken. I’ve reported the issue, and I’ll keep this thread updated when it’s resolved.

  @greystreetgeorgia – We’re working on getting this resolved! I’ll let you know as soon as it’s fixed.
