Unable to receive activation email

I’ve tried requesting for your activation email to my email (email visible only to moderators and staff) but I haven’t received it yet. Tried the resend but to no avail. Could it be because I the email is forwarded to my other gmail account? But other mails I send to it can be received by my gmail.

Will you please confirm that the email address here https://wordpress.com/me/account is correct.

Thanks #timethief for your advice. Checked email typed correctly and gmail account checked thoroughly, no other email from wordpress.com or confirm email.
I added the tag modlook. Is it done right?
