Unable to receive SMS from WordPress.com for JetPack

    Hi;

    I logged in my wordpress profile with a backup code
    updated/valided my phone number which is the right number because I received a SMS to confirm my phone number, but
    – when I try to login/active my JetPack I don’t receive the SMS
    – when I try to desactivate the 2 steps security, I don’t receive the SMS
    So I’m stuck at not being able to activate my JetPack

    Ok, can you tell us the URL of the site where you’re having troubles please?

    Also, to check, if this is a self hosted site, can you tell if you’re able to access the site via wp-admin?

    Yes I have access to my wp-admin
    No I don’t understand the link with having to share my URL while the issue is your system being unable to send a SMS.

    As I mentioned, even signing in at
    https://wordpress.com/log-in/ required me to use a backup code because I don’t received the SMS for the second authentication.

    Yes I click on Send code via text message and wait few minutes, hours…

    Yes I revalidated my phone number, and yes when I reentered my phone number I received the SMS, but after that it is silenced radio, no SMS.

    And yes, again, right now I had to use another backup code to sign in to send that message.

    And no I can’t disable the second authentication because as I mentioned earlier I don’t receive the SMS.

    jodumont.com is not hosted with us on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress software at another hosting provider. This is a bit different to a site hosted on WordPress.com. You can read about these differences here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    You wouldn’t need WordPress.com to access: jodumont.com…

    We are unable to support: jodumont.com – can you tell me if there’s a site on WordPress.com you’re looking to access?

    I want to use the plugin JetPack with my self hosted WordPress.
    From my wp-admin the plugin JetPack ask me to do authentication at WordPress.com.
    I can’t do because I don’t receive the SMS.
